Private Equity Fund Accountant (Graduate Level)

Langham Hall Hong Kong offers excellent candidates with work experience through a structured training environment. We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused accountant to prepare financial reports and provide accounting services for our clients. The ideal candidate should have strong bookkeeping skills along with excellent communication abilities to interact with clients effectively.

You will receive study support on enrolled accountancy qualification (e.g. HKICPA, ACCA, CPA Australia) together with the opportunity to work in a stable, supportive and open cultured environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare full set of accounts for our clients under IFRS and US GAAP using our bespoke accounting system.
  • Assist our clients with the preparation of investor reports and financial performance metrics such as multiples and IRR.
  • Provide ongoing support to our clients on best practices and compliance requirements such as AML/KYC, FATCA and Common Reporting Standard (CRS).
  • Assist with technical calculation in the private equity environment such as capital call, distribution and waterfall computation based on the relevant legal documents.
  • Deliver clear and professional communications to our clients and their stakeholders with queries on financial reports, transactional information and compliance matter.
  • Assist our clients with the year-end audit, including the preparation of audited financial statements and liaison with the auditors.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder preferably in accounting or business-related disciplines.
  • Fresh Graduates are welcome.
  • 1-2 years accounting experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Commitment to a career in accounting and a professional accounting qualification.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English, Cantonese and Putonghua.
  • A team player with excellent work ethic and willing to take on multiple functions.
  • Attention to detail with good problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Provide training and support through our Asia – Personal Development Programme, covering both technical and non-technical development.
  • Offer exam support including paid exam leave, exam fee support and practical experience mentoring.
