Langham Hall is delighted to announce that its Luxembourg business, Langham Hall Luxembourg S.àr.l. has recently been issued a PSF (professional of the finance sector) licence by the CSSF, Luxembourg's financial regulator, to provide administration services to Luxembourg funds and companies. The licence enables Langham Hall to offer transfer agency, accounting, reporting, domiciliation, corporate secretarial and general administration services to regulated funds (operating under the SIF and SICAR regimes), unregulated funds and SPVs established in Luxembourg.
The CSSF licence follows Keith McShea’s appointment to head up the Luxembourg office in late-2013. Prior to his appointment at Langham Hall, Keith practised as an EU funds and regulatory lawyer in London with Berwin Leighton Paisner and Mayer Brown. Keith previously worked in Luxembourg, having played a significant role in the development of Mourant Luxembourg, another Luxembourg fund and corporate administrator.
The licence extends Langham Hall's service offering in Luxembourg and complements the administration, accounting and depositary services the group offers to the private equity, infrastructure and real estate industries globally. Langham Hall also has operations in London, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Jersey and Singapore.
Rob Short, Langham Hall's Managing Partner, said: "The importance of Luxembourg as a jurisdiction to domicile funds, especially in view of AIFMD, makes this an obvious place for Langham Hall to establish a sizeable presence. Keith’s professional background and proven track record in Luxembourg will be extremely valuable to our clients so we are very excited by the opportunities ahead."
Keith McShea, Langham Hall's Luxembourg head, added: "Obtaining a CSSF licence is a key development in the evolution of the Luxembourg business. We are confident that the licence, combined with the broad range of skills and experience of the senior Luxembourg management team within the Langham Hall global infrastructure, represents an attractive proposition to private equity, infrastructure and real estate managers and their advisers looking for Luxembourg administration and related services."
